About Joe Sommerville

Joe Sommerville is an author, speaker, logophile and critic of the public sphere. He studies persuasion and how people argue. As CRG (Chief Rhetorical Gadfly), he challenges conventional wisdom, questions “what everybody knows” and demands facts for assertions.

He earned an AB from Wabash College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.

He currently resides in the country of Texas.
